Extrude cut fail. Bug?

Main Post: Hi everyone, I am not able to make a extrude cut like the object in the lower right corner. As long as the object on the left has a square inner cut, I can only make a triangular cut on either side but not both. Any idea why? Thank you in advance! [image]

EGO Select Cut Fail. Does anyone actually achieve a good cut with this thing?

Main Post:

I really just want my beautiful yard back. Four cuts in and this mower has left a lot to be desired. It looks like someone took 21" hair clippers to my yard and every row is a slightly different guard height with the occasional scalp job along the way. Different blades, handle positions, and speeds have yielded minimal difference. EGO has not been helpful.

The only thing that achieved a remotely acceptable cut was NOT using self propelled and pushing up on the handle as I was mowing.

This highlights the main flaw of this mower, it's just too light. My lawn, like I'm sure many others, is a little bumpy. It's flat, but this thing bounces all over the place, causing the uneven cut. Or so I think.

This thing has thousands of 5 star reviews and almost nothing negative, so I am either doing something wrong, or have higher standards for a lawnmower than most of America. My 16 year old Toro makes my front yard look like it belongs in a magazine. I just want those results back, without the gas.

I'm becoming very suspect of ego. I'm on my second trimmer and it's probably going back to home Depot as I have to refeed the line every 10 to 15 feet. Have tried different brands and diameters, been on their forums, called tech support. Starting to think the reviews just come from people who are so enamored with the power ego gets out of a battery that they ignore the actual function.

I do like the blower though. Which ironically only needs to produce power.

Is it true that if I fail exam 421 I'll get cut loose?

Top Comment: It's possible, especially if you were hired to work the window as a PSE. The test itself isn't terribly hard, but you should really pay attention in the window academy. It'll be very boring, but you only have to do it once.

Cut wired label "Fail" on TV Power Supply, what is it and why is my TV working again?

Main Post:

Hello and thank you for reading this.

My LG 65uh5500 wouldn't turn on. It had a red blinking light. I found a video that had the same issue and it told me to cut a wire connecting to the power supply labled labeled "Fail". At around the 4:24 mark you can see the power board and where it is labeled Fail.

The thing is this fixed my TV. I just am not sure if its safe and was wondering what this wire is for and why it was stopping my TV from turning on? Is my TV still safe to use?

TLDR: Will following the directions in the below video (starting at 4:24) cause my TV to catch fire or be dangerous? Also what is that wire?

Sounds like it might be a voltage sense line for the power supply, or perhaps a line that reports a fail state to an MCU outside the PSU circuit. If that's the case, then one of two things went wrong. The power supply has an output that is now out of spec (damaged capacitors are a common cause but not universal), or the sensor itself has failed and is reporting an erroneous voltage that's causing an MCU in the TV to enter a safe mode of some sort.

If option 2, then your TV may work for years to come. If option 1, in all likelihood the power supply will continue to drift away from spec and eventually will destroy other components within the TV.

I read somewhere that the "fail" wire comes from the LED driver board - and is responsible for detecting when there is an issue with the LED circuit.

I suspect there is no harm in trying it - I've not been able to find a full schematic, but I suspect that you might also want to investigate either and issue with the LED driver or an issue with one of the LED backlights. Perhaps disconnect it - see if your set boots correctly, and then examine closely for any dark spots which might indicate that an LED has gone bad.

Another cut out cookie fail

I am by no means any where near a skilled baker but I put my sugar cookies in the freezer for 15 minutes then bake if I’m cutting them into shapes, then I take a fork and poke holes in the middle before putting them in the oven.

I’m not much help in the recipe department so I apologize! I get so frustrated with sugar cookies, they are HARD!
